January 2010
-I have been behind on my updates do to being on on a tight studio schedule. I am currentlyworking on building the painting I successfully raised money for on KickStarter. Above is a few photos from the first few weeks of progress. If you would like to see more or get more info on the project click HERE. I will post more photos as the piece develops and time allows. I will be dedicating a page to this project on the website sometime in the near future. Please check back regular and see how I am doing. For those who don't know, I am building a large relief work out of 200 or so panels in which I will paint to represent a landscape/environment/experience. Follow the link to KickStarter to find out more.
-Also, recently I was interviewed for an article by Renee Phillips, founder and director of Manhattan Arts International, on my success with KickStarter. The interview is for the upcoming Feb. issue of Art Calendar magazine, which I will let you know when it is out. If you are interested before then check out Renee's blog, http://reneephillips.blogspot.com/2009/12/kickstarter-jump-starts-funding-for.html , for an excerpt.
Renee does some interesting work in helping artist with career side of their business. I definitely suggest her blog for all us artist trying to make a career out of the work we love to do.
Thanks Renee for focusing on my project

November 2009
-This past month has been rather exciting as my KickStarter project gets into full swing. Thank you for all those that have come out and supported my efforts. With all your help I am sure we will make it to my goal.
-I put together a small video of what I am working on to share with you. Please note that this is in their early stages of progress. The video just gives you an idea of where the piece is going. There are a lot more panels, textures and other considerations before you get the full picture, but they do show you how the painting takes form in 3dimensional space.

-TODAY NEW YORK, TOMORROW THE WORLD-
October 2009
-October has brought the launch of another exciting project. Over the next two months (10/08-12/08) I will be teaming up with KickStarter.com to raise funding for a large painting installation that I have been planning. The project is called "TODAY NEW YORK, TOMORROW THE WORLD" and it will be 20' x 10' x 2' installation of around 350 painted panels built into one large painting environment. Very exciting!
-If you go to the link on the left it will bring you to my project and you can learn more about the fund raising. A short over view is; I am taking pledges, from $1 - $1000 to use to buy materials and create time to build my painting and in return I have great gifts I am offering to those who pledge. Besides for that you also get the warm feeling inside from supporting the arts and being part of an awesome project. Tell your friends, tell your family and lets make this happen.

September 2009
-Back in the studio again making more models to explore some other 3 dimensional ideas I have been working on. Above is a quick one I made. The scale is 1": 1'; with homer being about 6" (which is 6' at full scale). This painting would be mounted on the wall but rest just above the ground plane. Just another way for a painting to play an interactive role in an environment.

August 2009
-This month I have added new items to purchase under the Purch / Sponsor section.
-There is an ongoing series of Limited Edition Prints I have made of work taken from my sketchbooks, which will be for sale and updated regularly.
-There are Limited Edition T-Shirts with more merchandise to come soon.
-I am also doing a summer clearing out of my Brooklyn Studio, which I will be selling 10 pieces from my personal archive. This includes artwork that many of you may be familiar with from over the years. This could be a great opportunity to purchase a great piece of my artwork, while helping me create space for the new work.
-New Links have been added of some great artist friends, please give them a look and help spread the word
June/July 2009
-Updates of new work has been added to the Current Projects and the Recent Work sections. It includes new drawings from my trip to Bass Harbor, ME and my new work on relief paintings.
April/May 2009
-After much looking I have finally found an ideal studio in which to build my larger projects. Thanks to the genorosity of supporters I have set up a new studio in Patchogue, Long Island. I will be splitting my time between my Brooklyn studio and Long Island space throughout the summer and fall of 2009.
-I will also be setting up shows out at the new space and it's surrounding area to involve the local community in my current art projects.

March 2009
-This Month I am constructing a new addition to the website, an art project Purch / Sponsor page. Check back periodically to see the progress. It's going to offer prints and special edition paintings and other merchandise to help support my current projects and give my supporters a chance to play a role in the art making process and own a piece of my work.
-One project you could help support is an upcomming show this fall at RARE Plus gallery in Chelsea, NYC. I am in the process of building a large multi-panel painting project for their space. Models for the large scale works are under Current Projects, you'll find them under the Work tab. As the work develops I will share glimpses of it in this section of the website.
-Other projects in the works are a painting installation I am working on for Studio Gaia, the NYC based architecture firm; also a collaborative music/art project with brooklyn artist Guitar Bomb.
more to come...
